Gold is Money, Wismar All-Stars and Stabroek Ballers recorded comfortabl­e wins when the One Guyana Futsal Championsh­ip resumed Tuesday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Gold is Money crushed Melanie 7-1 led by a Randolph Wagner hat-trick in the sixth, eighth and 24th minute. Supporting with a double was Jamal Pedro in the 28th and 29th minute whilst Neron Barrow and Darren Benjamin added goals in the 15th and 22nd minute respective­ly. On target in the loss was Philip Williams in the 12th minute.

Similarly, Wismar All-Stars mauled Bagotsvill­e 8-1. Jonah Simon fashioned a hattrick in the seventh, 19th, and 24th minute whilst Andre Mayers tallied a hat-trick in the fourth, ninth, and 25th minute. Assisting with goals in the first and 15th minute were Allan Haley and Omar Williams respective­ly. For the losing team, Akeem Wilson netted in the 11th minute.

Likewise, Stabroek Ballers downed Timehri Ballers 4-0. Bevney Mark bagged a double in the sixth and 26th minute, whilst Dorwin George and Shemar Welch scored in the 16th and 28th minute respective­ly.

In other results, Jetty and Beteverwag­ting (BV) played to a 1-1 draw.

The event continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of matches. The winner of the tournament will pocket $1,000,000 and the championsh­ip trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will receive $500,000, $200,000, and $100,000 respective­ly. On the individual side, the Most Valuable Player of the event will receive a motorcycle.
