LAGUNA DE GUAIMORETO

Esta área es frecuentada por una gran cantidad de aves. El Refugio de Vida Silvestre Laguna de Guaimoreto presenta en 7,022 hectáreas diferentes ecosistemas vegetales como: manglar, pantano herbáceo, plantas flotantes, plantas de arena de playa, bosque inundable y bosque de hoja ancha. Entre las actividades eco turísticas se destacan los viajes en lancha, la pesca artesanal, observación de aves y mangles. Los tours pueden ser contratados por Fundación para la Protección de Capiro y Calentura y Guaimoreto (FUCAGUA) y la Unidad de Turismo Municipal de Trujillo.
