Tela es una ciudad hospitalaria donde todo el mundo se conoce y se saluda. Tras la partida de la compañía bananera Tela Railroad Company, la ciudad cayó en un primer momento de incertidumbre. Afortunadamente, poco a poco, el turismo se fue convirtiendo en el motor de la actividad económica. Sus arrecifes en la bahía se están convirtiendo en atractivos para los amantes de la vida submarina. El fin de semana y durante los feriados de diciembre y Semana Santa, se puebla de turistas nacionales. Tela is a friendly city,where everyone knows everybody and says hello on the streets. After the Tela Railroad Company left, the city fell into a moment of uncertainty. Fortunately, bit by bit, tourism became the new lifestyle and philosophy, the economic engine. Its reefs on the side of the bay are becoming an attraction for the underwater life lovers. Weekends and holidays in December and Easter Week, belongs to t local tourists.
