El Centro de Investigación y Jardín Botánico Lancetilla tiene sus orígenes en la década de 1920, comounazonade exploración para la compañía bananera. Es el segundo jardín botánico tropical másgrande del mundoporsucolección de plantas con importancia económica. Haysenderos bien marcados por donde unguía le conducirá mientras le deja saber las curiosidades de las especies animales y vegetales que habitan en el gran jardín. Theresearch Center and Lancetilla Botanical Garden, has its origins in the 1920 decade, as research center for the banana company. It is the second largest botanical garden in the world because of its large plant collection with economical importance.
