The paradisiacal charm of Honduran beaches

-

Honduras’ beaches not only offer a unique natural charm, but also adventurous attractions, exquisite cuisine and nearby destinations that you won’t find anywhere else in Central America. Honduras has coasts in the Caribbean bathed by the Atlantic Ocean in its entire North coast and in the South by the Pacific Ocean, giving the local and international tourists a unique invitation to enjoy. In this special edition of Honduras Tips, we want to present some of the best beaches in our country, from telling you where they are located, how to get there and what you will find in them. We start with the North coast, with the jewel of the Caribbean Roatán, which is not only home to the whale shark and the second coral reef barrier in the world, but also a paradise of crystalline waters and white sand like salt. Learn about activities, places and distinctive foods of its three islands, so you can plan the best trip and get to know its entire archipelago. Nearby we travel to Cayos Cochinos, the best natural experience and adventure in the Caribbean. Each key keeps its magic, enriched by the Garífuna ethnic group, turquoise waters and local cuisine. Here you can not only enjoy the natural beauty of the keys, but you can also experience what it feels like to live on a remote island. Then we go to La Ceiba with all its charm, from the Cangrejal River to its beaches between Peru and Miramar, its cuisine and the majesty of the Pico Bonito National Park. And of course near the Honduran bride, is Tela, with its impressive beaches such as La Ensenada, Triunfo dela Cruzandthemajestic Punta Sal, one of the most visited points in Honduras throughout the year. Now we go to Omoa, to the Northwest of Honduras and the diamond of Puerto Cortés, which not only surprises with its beaches such as Cieneguita and Bajamar among others. We finish in the South, with the seafood delight of San Lorenzo and its mangroves, as well as the great port of Amapala, Isla del Tigre. Tour this adventure of sun, sand and ocean with us, Honduras and its coasts are jewels to be discovered, cheer up!
