Tener la oportunidad de ser parte de Impact Junkie es una experiencia única para la formación personal como periodista y para cualquier otro profesional, desde mi perspectiva estoy interesada en un periodismo más humano e incluyente, que construya información y acompañamiento para los integrantes de las comunidades en Honduras. Impact Junkie nos ha mostrado un viaje reflexivo e interior de nosotros como seres humanos y cómo eso se liga a nuestra profesión, es importante cambiar esquemas, pero todo cambio comienza desde el interior y con Impact Junkie he logrado que germine una mujer y una profesional que quiere hacer cambios y anhela no un mundo perfecto pero sí cada vez más humano, solidario y donde todos podamos servir a quienes más nos necesiten.

Soy voluntaria desde el 2019 de la Organización Árboles de Justicia, que trabaja para llevar justicia a los más desamparados.

Being part of Impact Junkie is a unique experience for personal training as a journalist and any other professional; from my perspective, I am interested in more humane and inclusive journalism, which builds information and accompaniment for the members of the communities in Honduras. Impact Junkie has shown us a reflective and inner journey of us as human beings and how that is linked to our profession; it is essential to change schemes, but all change begins from the inside, and with Impact Junkie, I have managed to germinate a woman and a professional who wants to make changes and longs for a world that is not perfect but increasingly more humane, supportive and where we can all serve those who need us most.

I have volunteered since 2019 for the organization "Árboles de Justicia," which works to bring justice to the most helpless.

Con la capacitación de Impact Junkie logré desarrollar una visión más clara de cómo presentar ante los donantes un proyecto que ya venía trabajando "Árboles de Justicia". Yo anhelaba capacitarme para poder darle forma a todo lo que contiene en sí, en cuanto a imagen y esa formación del concepto del Refugio a Migrantes, en el que se pueda presentar no solo la idea, sino presentar un todo, un proyecto a la altura y hacerlo de la mejor manera. Impact Junkie me dio esa posibilidad y me incentivo con ideas y empoderamiento para acercarme estratégicamente a las personas correctas con la información correcta y recibir ese apoyo para el Refugio a Migrantes, con el apoyo de donantes y cooperación en general. Recibí la mentoría necesaria para darle acompañamiento a este proyecto que poco a poco está avanzando y que espera ser sustentable gracias a los conocimientos recibidos en Impact Junkie.

Con la visión que me ha inculcado Impacto Junkie junto a Árboles de Justicia esperamos seguir tocando puertas y presentar muchos proyectos de apoyo a la comunidad en general, con las estrategias y herramientas necesarias que hoy podemos decir tenemos al alcance. De manera particular espero crear mi propio proyecto de noticias y producciones audiovisuales que permita comunicar a Honduras con un periodismo humano más incluyente a través de una narrativa transmedia.

Mi invitación es que se atrevan a participar en este tipo de programas, sinceramente uno nunca sale igual, algo se transforma, los mentores en su totalidad de Impact Junkie, enseñan algo más que academia, aquí hay amistad, resiliencia, compañerismo, apreciar los pequeños detalles de la vida pero también potenciarlos para poder generar esos cambios que usted desea ver en su ser, en su casa y en su comunidad. El ser humano necesita acciones y en este caso Impact Junkie es esa caja de herramientas que complementa las acciones que nos permitirán llegar al éxito integral en donde no solo se busca satisfacer necesidades personales, se busca la prosperidad del colectivo. Estoy más que agradecida porque 2022 fue un año maravilloso y gracias a Impact Junkie puedo ver lo realizable de muchas ideas que serán transformadoras.

With the Impact Junkie training, I developed a clearer vision of presenting to donors a project I had already been working on, "Árboles de Justicia." I wanted to train myself to be able to give shape to all that it contains in terms of image and the formation of the concept of the Migrant Shelter, in which I could present not only the idea but present a whole, a project at the height and do it in the best way. Impact Junkie gave me that possibility and incentivized me with ideas and empowerment to strategically approach the right people with the correct information and receive that support for the Migrant Shelter, with the help of donors and cooperation in general. I received the necessary mentoring to support this project, advancing little by little, and I hope to be sustainable thanks to the knowledge acquired at Impact Junkie.

With the vision that Impacto Junkie and Árboles de Justicia have instilled in me, we hope to continue knocking on doors and present many projects to support the community in general with the necessary strategies and tools we can now say we have reached within. In particular, I hope to create my news project and audiovisual productions that will allow us to communicate Honduras with more inclusive human journalism through a transmedia narrative.

My invitation is that you dare to participate in this type of program; sincerely, one never leaves the same, something is transformed, and mentors in its entirety. Impact Junkie teaches more than academia; here, there is friendship, resilience, companionship, and appreciation of the small details of life. It also enhances them to generate the changes you want to see in your being, home, and community. The human being needs actions, and in this case, Impact Junkie is that toolbox that complements the activities that will allow us to reach critical success where we not only seek to satisfy personal needs, we seek the prosperity of the collective. I am more than grateful because 2022 was a fantastic year, and thanks to Impact Junkie, I can see the feasibility of many ideas that will be transformative.
