Impact junkie, es una experiencia que transformó mi vida, me mostró la ruta que llevo años buscando para enfocar todas mis ideas. Su metodología me ayudó a conocerme a mi misma, mi entorno, los clientes, los problemas que afrontamos y lo que necesitan las personas para poder salir adelante. Entendí que no se trata únicamente de vender un producto sino tener un negocio con propósito y conciencia social.

Con todo este aprendizaje logré encontrar la respuesta que desde hace varios años buscaba, encaminar mi conocimiento, saber con quien compartirlo y las estrategias que debo implementar para hacerlo realidad. Entendí que la empatía le ha dado sabor y color a lo que hago y que puedo lograr mucho más, teniendo las herramientas y el networking con toda una familia emprendedora a lo largo de Honduras que también luchan por sacar adelante sus comunidades al igual que yo. Las mentorías personalizadas del programa me facilitaron el proceso de aprender-haciendo.

Impact junkie is an experience that transformed my life; it showed me the path I have been looking for years to focus all my ideas. Its methodology helped me to know myself, my environment, my clients, our problems, and what people need to get ahead. I understood it is about selling a product and having a business with purpose and social conscience.

With all this learning, I managed to find the answer I have been looking for several years, to direct my knowledge, to know with whom to share it, and to the strategies, I should implement to make it a reality. I understood that Empathy has given flavor and color to what I do and that I can achieve much more, having the tools and networking with a whole family of entrepreneurs throughout Honduras who also struggles to move their communities forward just like me. The program's one-on-one mentoring facilitated my learning-by-doing process.

Crear la Escuela para Mujeres Emprendedoras Turísticas (EMET) donde estemos en la capacidad de trabajar temas de liderazgo, autoestima, equidad de género y poder, investigación y desarrollo de nuevos productos, potenciar los emprendimientos con los que se cuentan a través de guías prácticas de fácil comprensión e implementación en las diferentes comunidades de nuestro país.

Logrando impulsar emprendimientos turísticos dentro y fuera de las comunidades Garífunas y no Garífunas contribuyendo de esta forma a establecer sinergias donde se pueda mostrar además la cultura viva mediante, el arte, la música, la danza, costumbres, tradiciones y gastronomía, en espacios dignos que cuenten con las condiciones para la promoción de los productos elaborados por las mujeres de noble corazón que luchan por preservar sus tradiciones ancestrales a lo largo del tiempo y contribuyen al desarrollo económico de ellas mismas, sus comunidades y esperan disfrutar de una mejor calidad de vida ya que por años han trabajado arduamente en la adversidad debido a la falta de oportunidades, desempleo, escasez de viviendas, alimentación, viéndose obligadas a emigrar hacia los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica y otras partes del mundo en búsqueda de mejores derroteros ante la falta de oportunidades en el país que nos vio nacer.

Mi mensaje final para todos los lectores, es que se vale soñar y hacer realidad nuestros sueños. Es importante capacitarnos, innovar, resurgir de las cenizas algunas veces, caerse y sacudirse el polvo, se vale, porque cuando emprendemos tocan dulces y amargas, vivir momentos angustiosos, pero de la Mano de Dios, más nuestro esfuerzo, logramos salir adelante con mayor impulso, sin olvidar a nuestro prójimo que nos necesita.

Sintámonos orgullosos de nuestras raíces, de ser testimonio de vida y servir de ejemplo para que otras personas visualicen que el cielo es el límite y que para triunfar en la vida debemos ser honestos, disciplinados y con un corazón apegado a Dios.

Create the School for Women Tourism Entrepreneurs (EMET), where we can work on issues of leadership, self-esteem, gender equity, and power, research and development of new products, enhance the enterprises that are available through practical guides easy to understand and implement in different communities in our country.

This will help to promote tourism ventures within and outside the Garifuna and non-garifuna communities, thus contributing to establishing synergies where the living culture can also be shown through art, music, dance, customs, traditions, and gastronomy in dignified spaces that have the conditions for the promotion of products made by noble-hearted women who struggle to preserve their ancestral traditions over time and contribute to the economic development of their communities and hope to enjoy a better life, They hope to enjoy a better quality of life because for years they have worked hard in adversity due to lack of opportunities, unemployment, lack of housing, food, being forced to emigrate to the United States of America and other parts of the world in search of better ways in the absence of opportunities in the country where we were born.

My final message to all readers is that it is worth dreaming and making our dreams come true. It is important to train ourselves, to innovate, to rise from the ashes sometimes, to fall and shake off the dust; it is okay because when we undertake, we have to go through sweet and bitter moments, to live distressing moments, but with the hand of God, plus our effort, we manage to get ahead with more incredible momentum, without forgetting our neighbors who need us.

Let us feel proud of our roots, be a testimony of life and serve as an example so that other people visualize that the sky is the limit and that to succeed in life, we must be honest, disciplined, and with a heart attached to God.
