MACAO IS CEMENTING
its reputation as an artistic and cultural hub this summer, with a huge six-month international arts and culture event.
Inspired by Venice’s Biennale art festival, Art Macao officially launched on 6 June with a packed itinerary of art exhibitions, performances and festival highlights taking place at 48 venues throughout the city.
Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture, the initiative has been spearheaded by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, in partnership with educational institutions, hotels and integrated resorts, foreign consulates as well as the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Higher Education Bureau, to create an artistic and cultural extravaganza.
A total of 27 large-scale exhibitions have been planned. One of the key highlights is Art Macao: International Art Exhibition, which seeks to invoke the power of the arts from around the globe to encourage local artistic creation.
Based in the Macao Museum of Art, this exhibition features a number of valuable works selected by hotel partners – including paintings, ceramics and sculptures.
The Galaxy Entertainment Group showcases how the Hollywood legendturned-princess Grace Kelly became a muse to countless artists, with exhibits from the collection at the Prince of Monaco’s palace.
MGM’s exhibition, Hua Yuan, reveals new developments in the art of ink painting, while both Wynn Macau’s Wynn – Garden of Earthly Delights and Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited’s Unexpected Encounters focus on contemporary masterpieces.
The Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) contributes a celebration of heritage through the prism of art.
Sands China has weighed in with the greatest international ceramic art exhibition to reach the Greater Bay Area this year. All That’s Gold Does Glitter – An Exhibition of Glamorous Ceramics has been curated by acclaimed artist Caroline Cheng and features more than 90 masterpieces.
Ongoing exhibitions, which were launched in the run-up to the festival, include a celebration of Italian Renaissance masters, an examination of the past 100 years of Chinese fine art, and a look at the mystery behind the history and culture of the Western Xia dynasty.
This month will see the opening of the second Annual Arts Exhibition between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, presenting a diverse cultural experience with unique insights into Macao’s history.
Musical arts will also play a large role in the half-year festival, with highlights from the Macao Orchestra and Macao Chinese Orchestra performed throughout, alongside highlights from the calendar of performances by dance, music and drama youth groups created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR. These include the Under Siege contemporary dance performance by Yang Liping and Thangka, a dance drama by the Qinghai Nationality Song and Dance Troupe.
In addition to large-scale exhibits and performances, a number of thematic talks and guided art tours will help bring arts to the community and encourage people from all walks of life to get involved with Macao’s unforgettable artistic summer.

這項大型國際盛事在社會文化司的指導下，由澳門特別行政區政府文局化 及旅遊局聯合推與動， 多家教育機構、旅遊度假村酒店、外國領事館及教育暨青年局與高等教育局合作，舉辦一場繽紛多姿、令人目不暇給的藝文嘉年華。
「藝文薈澳」合共會舉行27個大型展覽，其中《Art Macao國際藝術大展》更是值得留的意 主要展覽藉， 著展示來自全球各地的創量拓意力 ，在 展視野之餘，同時鼓勵本地藝術創作。
這個展覽的主場館設於澳門藝術博物館舉行，匯聚由多間酒店及度假村挑選的藝術品，有畫作、陶瓷、塑雕 及互動裝置藝術等，全部均屬極具價值的。精品
銀河娛樂集為團 這個大型展覽的觀眾帶來《影后王妃：嘉麗絲姬莉的藝術形象》，透過來自摩納哥親王宮的，展品 展示這位出身荷李紅的活 星 摩納哥王妃如何成為無數藝術家的繆思女神，以她為主題創作。
美梅高 以《華源》為題，向觀眾展現當代水墨藝術的新發展。永利澳門有限公司呈獻的永《 利藝賞間-人 樂園》及新濠博亞的《不其而遇》，則以代當 藝術傑為作焦點。
澳門博彩股份有限公司（ SJM）則透過藝術來向傳統致敬。
金沙中國為大灣區帶來今年規模最大的際國 陶瓷藝術展覽流《 金歲月當代陶瓷藝術展》，由著名陶藝家鄭禕擔任策展人，展出接近百件陶瓷精品。
此外，還有多個在「藝文薈澳」開幕前已經舉行的，展覽括有意大利文藝復興時代多位大師的描素 作品、回顧中國過去百年的藝術面貌以， 及探討西夏王朝歷史與文化的物文 展等，內容亦相當精采，不容錯過。
《第二屆中國與語葡 國家藝術年展》亦於開本月 幕，展現多元文化的藝術面貌，並從特獨 的角度探索澳門歷史。
在長達六個月的藝術節中，音樂的角色亦舉足輕重。除了澳門樂團及澳門中樂團在藝術節內舉行音樂會外，還有由青少年團體創作的舞蹈、音樂及戲劇節目，藉此慶祝澳門特別行政區成立20周年；節目括楊麗萍的當代舞蹈劇場《十面埋伏》，以及青海省演藝集團民族歌舞團演出舞的 劇《唐卡》等。
