Student arrested after roommates poisoned

A college freshman in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region was arrested on suspicion of putting toxic materials into a water dispenser, sickening her two roommates. The roommates were hospitalized on Jan 14 after drinking the water, Gxnews.com.cn reported on Sunday. All the students attend a college in Nanning. The student, named Cao, said she had put nitrite into the water dispenser on Jan 13 while planning her suicide.
