Tourist fraud gang busted by police

Police in the city’s Dongcheng district have detained 55 people involved in a criminal gang that defrauded tourists. A special task force was created after a tourist, surnamed Sun, complained that four jade pieces he bought for 93,000 yuan in October were valued at less than 1,000 yuan. After a twomonth investigation, police busted the fraud ring.
