COMAC elevates GM He Dongfeng to chairman

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd or COMAC, the manufacturer of the C919, China’s first homegrown large passenger aircraft, has appointed its current general manager He Dongfeng, 51, as its new chairman and Party chief. He received a master’s degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 2002, majoring in industrial engineering. He has about 30 years of working experience in aviation and aerospace, having worked with different companies, including State-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. He joined COMAC in 2008 as GM.
