FAW Group names Xu Liuping chairman

Automobile company FAW Group named Xu Liuping, 53, its new chairman. Prior to his latest appointment, Xu worked as general manager of China South Industries Group Corp, a State-owned military equipment manufacturer. Since 2010, he was also the chairman of China Changan Automobile Group, where he made it one of the top domestic carmakers for ten years. He released a new car design in April. Xu is expected to improve FAW’s production and brand image.
