Big data distribution is the key to building digital China. In the era of the digital economy, data has become a breeding ground for the new economy and new forms of business. We need to accelerate the push to build an integrated national big data center and effectively bring together organizational and internet data from the government, industry and companies, to promote the distribution and exchange of data.

Cloud computing supports the construction of digital China. Similar to water, electricity and gas, cloud computing has become an element of urban infrastructure. Inspur aims to build the world’s leading cloud computing core equipment and a world-class cloud data center.

Our society is transforming from the era of industrial economy to the era of digital economy and intelligence. Information and communication technology is rapidly changing people’s production and living activities. Traditional industries need to actively embrace the internet, big data and AI technologies to accelerate digital transformation.

Sun Pishu, chairman at Inspur Group Co Ltd

China has entered a new phase of digital economy. This intelligent, digitalized and internet-enabled power will improve industrial efficiency and people’s livelihoods. In addition, China’s booming digital economy has not only delivered potential innovations but also opportunities to enter the world stage.

However, we should notice that the country’s service sector has a low penetration rate in the internet segment and remains to be upgraded. Also, we have a lot to do in terms of going global. It is easy to provide services but behind them are backstage technologies requiring continuous breakthroughs.

To embrace the new chapter of the digital economy, Meituan-Dianping has scrambled to integrate the internet with the real economy, especially some life services including dining, hotels, tourism, films and retailing. In the near future, we hope to serve a total of 1 billion people each day through technological innovations to help people really “eat better, live better.”

Wang Xing, CEO of Meituan-Dianping

Data is the oil of the digital world. The cloud and the network are the pipelines and processing plants to collect, store, transmit and process such “oil”, and those are exactly the advantages that operators have.

There are three trends in terms of the cloud computing — the integration of different clouds, the integration of the cloud with big data, and the integration of the cloud with the real economy. These aspects further strengthen the efficiency, sharing, flexibility and cost advantages of cloud computing. Thus, cloud computing will be the foundation of the digital economy and real economy.

Currently, China Unicom has built 335 national data centers in the country. And we have already teamed up with Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu to offer more open and convenient cloud services.
