Otis opens new R&D center in Shanghai

Otis Elevator Co has opened its global network’s largest research and development center in Shanghai. The United Statesbased elevator and escalator manufacturer said, supported by more than 500 engineers, the new facility will accelerate the development of new equipment and service solutions for its products for customers worldwide, while supporting innovation across all aspects of Otis operations. Its main task is to develop standards, high-rise elevators, systems and components, as well as other new equipment and service offerings.
