23 detained for making, selling drugs

Police have detained 23 people suspected of making and selling drugs, and seized more than 4.5 metric tons of raw materials, Wuzhong authorities said on Saturday. In November, police received reports of a gang installing equipment for producing hydroxylamine, a raw material used in making drugs. A four-month investigation led to the discovery of a drug production and sales ring operating in six provincial-level regions, according to the police. Twelve of the 23 suspects have been prosecuted and the case is under further investigation.
