CPC historical site sets visitor record

The historic building where the Communist Party of China held its first national congress received a record number of visitors in 2018 — more than 1.47 million — its administration said. It was a significant number compared with the 835,000 in 2017 and was the first time the site has received over 1 million visitors in a single year, said Xu Ming, deputy curator of the memorial site in Shanghai. Besides individual visitors, the memorial site hosted nearly 8,300 groups and held 3,800 Party oath-taking activities.
