Most annoying habits of Japan subway riders

The Japan Private Railway Associatio­n recently released its annual commuter train etiquette survey, which listed several behaviors that bother passengers most. Placing bags on the seat is seen as the most annoying habit, followed by talking loudly and manspreadi­ng. Cutting in line, seat-robbing and eating are also on the list. Many netizens in China agreed with the survey and asked passengers to take a note and learn.

No free luggage service for cheap flight tickets

A man paid 860 yuan ($127) for his check-in luggage at the Hohhot Baita Internatio­nal Airport, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, last week. His flight ticket cost about 200 yuan. According to Tianjin Airlines, starting on Oct 28, passengers who bought economy-class tickets at discounts of more than 60 percent will have to pay for checked luggage. Also, the airline said its economy class of domestic flights will no longer offer compliment­ary meals. It is altering its services partly as a result of cost pressures.
