Spectacular eruption
Large streams of red-hot lava and ash shoot into the night sky as Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, leaps into action on Tuesday, in Fornazzo, Italy. For over a week, Etna has been belching lava and ash. The nearby Catania Airport was closed temporarily.
