Xi’s speech at CPC centenary published in multiple languages
The speech made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, at the grand gathering marking the centenary of the CPC on July 1 has been published in multiple languages by the Central Compilation and Translation Press.
The speech, translated by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, has been made available in English, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and German.
In the speech, Xi, also China’s president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, reviewed the Party’s success over the past century.
He declared that China has realized the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects as the Party celebrates the 100th anniversary of its founding, and it is marching toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country by 2049, when the People’s Republic of China marks the centenary of its founding.
Publication of the speech in multiple languages will help readers gain better knowledge of the journey and achievements of the CPC in uniting and leading the Chinese people in tireless struggle over the past century, and of the great founding spirit of the Party.
It will also help readers better understand the new and uniquely Chinese path to modernization and the new model for human advancement the Party has pioneered, as well as the shared human values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom that the Party promotes.
