Articolo, the Melbourne lighting design studio founded in 2012 by Nicci Green, has recently launched its Float collection of pendants and sconces that are recognisable by their cylindrical form and references to a bygone era. The collection is available in several materials and shades, including the brand’s signature ‘drunken emerald’ colour, but it’s the Glimpse pendant that caught our eye. Inspired by the image of sunrise over a glowing horizon, the mouth-blown shade appears to float, held in balance by the solid brass sheath around its middle and the two brass rods from which it’s suspended.
