Dada, Tokyo
Italian kitchen brand Dada has opened a new flagship store in Tokyo’s Minami Aoyama. The location next to its sister brand Molteni&C’s flagship store allows the two spaces to open onto a 700-square-metre lounge that offers a complete brand immersion. The expansive Dada store was designed by Belgian Vincent Van Duysen with his signature large windows, and with green areas within spacious glasshouses; in fact, the store’s garden area backs on to that of Kengo Kuma’s Nezu Museum. Natural materials also feature prominently, including bronze, raw metal and sand, which alternate with green areas to define the stages for the kitchen spaces.
