The new Greenway Crackle collection from Sydneybased ADesignStudio draws on the firm’s Greenway and Eon series, combining the Australian maritime architecture references of the former and the handblown crackle finish of the latter with Richard Kelly’s three principles for lighting. Here, the metal piece provides Kelly’s ‘focal glow’, the glazed nautical forms the ‘ambient luminescence’ and the crackle the ‘play of brilliance’. The pieces form a configurable system with dimmable, concealed and warm leds as light sources.
