Workstead
Marking the studio’s tenth anniversary, New York-based Workstead has introduced its fifth lighting release of the year, a series of pendants and sconces named Hieroglyph. Referencing the essential abstract forms of the De Stijl movement and the collection’s namesake pictographic language, the nested wooden cylinders are assembled in parallel and perpendicular forms to be displayed as sconces or pendants suspended by clothcovered cord or a fixed metal rod.
