Lana Daya Home
Jakarta-based textile designer Clarissa Nilistiani graduated from Nottingham Trent University before returning home to focus on local textiles and fibres. Through Lana Daya Studio, Nilistiani aims to develop and preserve traditional textile culture and weaving skills into a sustainable, contemporary practice.
Her interest in natural and sustainable fibres such as recycled yarn has led to interesting and attractive outcomes in the form of the Lana Daya Home collection. We particularly like the Ondel-Ondel Paper Yarn (pictured), which is made by pedal-loom weavers in Indonesia's historic Klaten region and then embellished with a paper yarn in Nilistiani's studio.
