Phaidon has worked with more than 90 creative luminaries from around the world to produce this survey of designers and studios they consider to be the brightest and most influential of their generation. The book is global in scope, featuring more than 100 designers from 30 countries, with those from Asia Pacific including JJ Acuña / Bespoke Studio, André Fu, Takenouchi Webb and Joyce Wang.

The volume’s strength is its diverse group of nominators, which has resulted in diverse coverage in the approaches and styles of those featured, and projects encompassing private residences, hotels, bars, restaurants, stores, showrooms and more. It’s best considered as a grazing board, with each designer given two or four pages, including an introductory text and selection of representative images. Biographical information on each forms a separate section in the end matter, including a brief biography, timeline and web and social information for those who wish to explore further.
