A Room of Her Own: Inside the Homes and Lives of Creative Women

‘In the infancy of the 21st century,' says author and photographer Robyn Lea in her introduction, ‘a new kind of woman has claimed her rightful place on the world stage.' This woman lives through her artistry, with her life as a canvas, and 20 women of this new kind are featured in A Room of Her Own.

The large format and relatively small number of features means each woman's story — part biography, part psychological profile — is given space, and similarly, Lea's full-bleed colour imagery shows their often breathtaking spaces in all their glory.
