So Koizumi

Tokyo-based designer So Koizumi has launched Seven, a mesmerising brass wind chime produced by craftsmen in seven different factories in Takaoka, a city in Toyama Prefecture famed for its metalwork. Developed as an exploration of the fluctuations in human emotions and between states of stability and insecurity, the chime is a tensegrity structure that appears to be both floating and stable, the metal rods forming an elegant ‘7’ shape.
