Why not strap on the sneakers and join in this fantastic fundraising walk?

- BY REBECCA SIMPSON

On the second Sunday of December this year, head out to Tai Tam Country Park to join the Hong Kong Cancer Fund’s Stride for a Cure fundraising walkathon. It’s the perfect opportunity to do something positive for our community while having a fun and energetic day in nature.

The fun-filled event includes the walkathon itself plus a wide range of entertainment and games for the whole family. Activities include a picnic lunch on the green lawn, face painting, a bouncy castle, game booths, stage performers, and a lucky draw.

The popular fundraiser is limited to 2,500 participants only, and involvement is on a first-come, first-served basis, so register now at cancer-fund.org/sfc.

Reasons for joining the fun

In Hong Kong, there are more than 31,000 new cancer diagnoses a year. Sadly, cancer cases in our city are on the rise. With advances in treatment, Hong Kong Cancer Fund is one step closer to improving the lives of people touched by cancer. Your support will help create a healthier community free from cancer.

The Hong Kong Cancer Fund aims to raise $3 million this year for local cancer research projects and professional care services. The money you raise by participating in this event will directly help people touched by cancer. These funds provide better treatment options and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
