AND NOW ... SOMETHING NEW FOR ADULTS

One of the most anticipated films of the year, Last Christmas (inspired by the song George Michael wrote 35 years ago) may just be everybody’s new favourite holiday rom-com. Kate ( Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke) had a pretty awful Christmas last year and her life has been a mess ever since, even with her nutty mum (Emma Thompson) trying her best to get her downon-her-luck daughter back on track. This year, Kate is working as an elf in a Christmas shop with a pretty tough boss (Michelle Yeoh). All seems bleak until she meets Tom ( Crazy Rich Asians’ Henry Golding) and a crazy romance blooms. With the director of Bridesmaids at the helm and the all-star cast, this flick is destined to become a Christmas classic. In theatres 5 December.
