Using an app

-

Whoever invented the food delivery app deserves a medal. It’s so easy (most of the time!). Note that some areas of Hong Kong, like outlying islands and Discovery Bay, aren’t serviced by these apps, so check to make sure your area is covered before you rely on a delivery service.

Here are your options for food delivery apps, which can all be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play:

Some of the city’s most delicious venues are on this app. Instead of participating in the bigger apps, Black Sheep restaurants created their own. You can order delivery or pick up via the Go app. They often have good promos and deals across different restaurants, too.

The JIA Group is responsible for famous eats, such as dim sum favourite Duddell’s, and it’s now offering delivery from its venues. You can order meal sets for singles or groups, plus there’s the option to order from a selection of wines and bubbles. It’s a one-stop-shop for a special meal at home. jiacatering.com

Watson’s Wine is a large retail chain offering home delivery of wines, spirits and even some gift options ( watsonswine.com). Wellcome ( wellcome.com.hk), ParknShop ( parknshop.com), Marketplace by Jason’s ( marketplacebyjasons.com) and CitySuper ( citysuper.com.hk/en) are large supermarket chains with a range of wines, beers, spirits and ciders.
