Firefly Lane

My niece recommended this to me, and I soon became hooked. It covers three different timelines starting in the 70’s, which is interesting from the point of view of fashion, music and lifestyle, for a start. But I think it’s clever, and it must have taken a lot of coordination to put together. It didn’t get great reviews in Time magazine, but I really enjoyed it. I thought there were a lot of relevant points of discussion, and family and relationship issues we can relate to (even if you’re younger, like my niece and daughter).

Katherine Heigl is a key character and also the producer – no mean feat. The only problem is how long we need to wait until the next series!
