How do you keep fit in Hong Kong?

WE DO A LOT OF WALKING – MY FAVOURITE ROUTE STARTS AT THE BEGINNING OF BOWEN ROAD, GOES UP WAN CHAI GAP, ALONG BLACK'S LINK, THEN DOWN TO DEEP WATER BAY WHERE WE FINISH AT THE THAI RESTAURANT THERE WITH A COCONUT!

I like to run, and there are lots of great routes, though a lot involve hills – and it's more challenging when the weather gets hot and humid! Bowen Road is very popular as it's flat and there are great views. I enjoy running along the Victoria Harbour waterfront on Hong Kong Island – it's possible to run all the way from Kennedy Town to Causeway Bay without going on any main road or hills. For the more adventurous, there are some great trails on Lantau and on the island. I also recommend running over to the south side and finishing with a nice lunch in Deep Water Bay (try Coconuts Thai) or Repulse Bay (Limewood).

The gyms here are good; Pure is very popular, and Class Pass provides a lot of options. Also, many newer apartment buildings have gyms in them, which is definitely convenient and helpful for those days you really don't want to go.

I run outside, and I also attend Pure Yoga and Pure Fitness classes, and Barre-to-Barre.

I GO TO YOGA REGULARLY – I'M A HUGE FAN OF HOT YOGA. WE ALSO DO A LOT OF HIKING, AND WE LOVE WAKESURFING!

Aline

I do an outdoor PT class once a week with a small group; it's been great motivation to work out with others as I'm not a great self-starter when it comes to fitness! I play squash once a week in the Municipal Centres, which is a lot of fun. I also like to hike up to The Peak – the Morning Trail starts close to where I live in Sai Ying Pun.

THE HONG KONG FOOTBALL CLUB IS LIKE MY SECOND HOME!
