Pro party planners who up the fun for all ages
Life can get a little serious at times, which is why we could all benefit from the entertainment and party services offered by Glitter and Gore.
When British expat and professional performer LIZZI first came to Hong Kong, it was to teach drama; but she quickly noticed a niche in the entertainment business.
“People in Hong Kong tend to be time poor, and loaded with work and stress. I felt there was an opening to create immersive entertainment that’s unique, memorable and fun – the kind of thing that’s worth people spending their time and money on when they’re busy.”
Fun for all ages
That’s why she started Glitter and Gore. (The name comes from Lizzi’s two favourite times of the year: Christmas and Halloween.) Combining her passion and experience on and off stage, Lizzi and her team offer what they call “FUNtertainment” – namely, fun experiences for kids, families, adults and companies alike.
“The aim is to make memorable moments for people to enjoy with their friends and families, and to boost positivity and wellbeing at the same time.”
Since its launch, the company has grown to offer a wider range of experiences. For kids (and big kids!), there are interactive themed parties – from pirate missions to hobbit and fairy journeys – to “whodunnit” parties and more. Or you can let them know your own ideas for a special celebration and they’ll do the rest. For corporate groups, they can add a bit of zest to your annual dinner, company celebration or work get-together.
Christmas and other celebrations
Glitter and Gore also offers unique holiday experiences throughout the year, for example at Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Valentine’s Day (not to mention a few lesser known holidays, like International Scavenger Hunt Day and Drive-In Movie Day…).
These are growing in popularity, so it seems like people in Hong Kong must have an increasing appetite for fun!
A particular highlight is the Christmas celebration – or, as the team describes it, “Our very exciting, no glitter spared, tinsel wrapped, gingerbread scented, Elf saturated, fully interactive, Christmas Kingdom adventure for all the family!”
“We started our Christmas event in 2016,” says Lizzi, “and it used to just be a single Sunday each year. But we ended up selling four dates last year!”
