Itchy Boots

I’m not a motorbike guy – at all. So, you’d wonder why I like watching the Itchy Boots channel on YouTube, which follows the adventures of a person riding a motorcycle around the world. Probably because that person, 35-year-old Dutch woman Noraly Schoenmaker, makes simple, beautifully filmed videos of off-thebeaten-track locations. (Her drone footage of rivers and canyons is a real highlight.) She’s relentlessly positive in the face of challenges – and there are plenty of those, as Noraly isn’t afraid to ride through some pretty shady pockets of the planet, alone. And the videos are almost entirely lacking in technical motorbike references, which means you can enjoy them without having to know what a sprocket is. (I’m guessing a sprocket is like a miniature rocket that helps fire up the engine – right?)
