Impressive IBs
Students across ESF’s 22 international schools in HK have achieved noteworthy International Baccalaureate results, with 43 students achieving a perfect 45 points and 66 recording 44 points. Belinda Greer, ESF’s Chief Executive Officer, says: “I’m absolutely delighted with the success of our students this year; it’s a real testament to their hard work and dedication. The IB Diploma is an academically rigorous qualification which showcases not just ability but the students’ resilience and tenacity.’’
A word from three top-scoring students:
Ushaan Turel, ESF West Island School
“I would like to thank my teachers, specifically Dr Yu and Ms Strachan. They both helped me immensely and went above and beyond with chemistry and biology respectively while also guiding me through the university application process.”
Lia Gaeul Kim, ESF Sha Tin College
“Sha Tin College has always nurtured a supportive and stimulating learning environment for students.
This naturally fuelled my determination to try my best during the course of IB, which led to unexpected results.”
Kaitlyn Leung, ESF Renaissance College (RCHK)
“My ESF education taught me that different people can coexist peacefully. My teachers and classmates came from India, US, Australia, UK, Vietnam… we all ended up in the same classroom. RCHK didn’t just tolerate diversity; we celebrated it.”
