CIMB Group in Singapore recently held its CIMB Preferred Golf Challenge 2016 at the Sentosa Golf Club. Exclusively for CIMB Preferred clients, the winner of the Singapore CIMB Preferred Golf Challenge would win a rare opportunity to play alongside some of the world’s top golfers at the CIMB Classic Pro-am Competition at the Tournament Players Club (“TPC”) Kuala Lumpur (formerly Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club). This would be in addition to being hosted to attend the CIMB Classic from 20 – 23 October 2016.

Played on The Serapong course, 121 golfers had the opportunity to tackle the wonderful smooth and slick greens on a cloudy overcast day. Participants looked forward to the chance to avail themselves of trying to win the grand Hole-in-one prize of an Audi A4 1.4 TFSI worth S$162,000 (excluding COE, insurance and all other fees & taxes). Failing that, they had further Hole-in-one chances to win a Buben & Zorweg watch winder worth S$41,000 and a Philip Stein Prestige 18K Rose Gold men’s watch worth S$30,238. Guests were also treated whilst on the course to whiskey tasting, food stations serving up yummy hot dogs; curry puffs, and a host of other snacks to complement their day out.

However, the weather was not as good as one would have hoped as a lightning delay stopped play after 3 holes. After an hour’s delay, play resumed and the players eagerly went back out to pit themselves against the field for the wonderful prizes on hand. But the skies turned unfriendly
