The Keppel Club raises S$1,037,996 at its annual event

-

The 113-year-old golf club’s two-day event saw around 270 golfers teeing off, as well as the participation of generous corporate partners, sponsors and donors, in aid of 10 beneficiaries in Singapore.

Dr Lam Pin Min, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport, graced the charity golf event’s Gala Dinner as the Guest-of-honour. A highlight of the evening was a special performance by Singaporean prodigy classical soloist, Lauren Yeo, who helped raise S$10,000 with her encore song at the Gala Dinner. The 14-year-old has hitherto charmed audiences the world over with her voice, and won numerous accolades since the tender age of nine.

This year’s fundraising event represents the club’s fifth consecutive year in managing to raise over a million dollars for beneficiaries. The $1,037,996 raised was unaudited and before the deduction of expenses. A donation cheque of $93,888 was presented to the 10 beneficiaries, with their representatives in attendance at the Gala Dinner in the evening.
