New Graphene Infused Chrome Soft Golf Balls

Featuring new graphene-infused dual Softfast cores & softer urethane covers

Callaway Golf's new Chrome Soft Golf Balls combine Tour-proven performance with unparalleled feel and exceptional forgiveness. One of several new features, a Grapheneinfused Dual Soft Fast Core has a larger inner core to maximize compression energy while minimizing driver-spin and promoting high launch for long distance.

Graphene is super-strong, stronger than diamond, 200 times stronger than steel and believed to be the strongest material in the world. Remarkably, it's both stiff and elastic so it can be stretched by an amazing amount without it breaking, because the flat planes of carbon atoms can flex relatively easily without the atoms breaking apart.

“We've innovated at every layer, starting with our ground-breaking new Graphene Dual Softfast Core,” said Alan Hocknell, SVP, R&D, Callaway Golf. “The result is an extremely fast and soft-feeling ball that promotes high-launch and low spin off the tee for long distance, and incredible shot-stopping spin around the green.”

In the new 2018 Chrome Soft X Callaway Golf has dramatically reduced its spin profile through the bag, so in many ways it is similar to the standard Chrome Soft ball of 2017, but with a firmer overall feel, while still retaining excellent spin properties around the green. The differences between both golf balls are mostly focused on feel. For golfers with a swing speed in the higher ranges - roughly 105mph and above - they might be an ideal candidate for the X, as its increased

firmness will convert more driver head speed to ball speed, compared to the Chrome Soft.

Fast Ball Speeds & Low Spin Off The Driver

New Graphene-infused Dual Soft Fast Core with a new, larger inner core maximizes compression energy while minimizing driver-spin and promoting high launch for long distance.

Distance & Control Through The Bag

Premium dual-core construction promotes more distance off the longer clubs, and more control in the mid-irons, short-irons and wedges.

Pinpoint Greenside Control

Thin ultra-soft Tour Urethane Cover feels fantastic and generates shotcontrolling, stroke-saving spin on pitches and chips.

Ultra-soft Feel

The fast Submantle, soft Tour Urethane Cover, and low compression core combine for an unparalleled feel.

Softer golf balls compress easier on off-centre hits for incredible distance all over the face. “After introducing the original Chrome Soft ball in 2015 with a core technology that broke the soft and fast paradigm, we've established an incredible trend toward this type of ball on both Tour and among amateur golfers,” said Jason Finley, Director, Product & Brand Management, Golf Balls, Callaway Golf Company.

“People should also notice higher ball speeds from the driver with both balls, and significantly better distance with midirons and approach shots,” added Alan Hocknell, SVP, R&D, Callaway Golf.
