Dolce&gabbana Opens In Dubai Mall

Dubai experiences the Day and Night of Italy through the eyes of Dolce&gabbana

Dolce&gabbana celebrates the opening of the boutique, located on Fashion Avenue Expansion of the Dubai Mall, with a special show. For the occasion, green, white and red-colored lights shone inside the mall reminiscent of a typical Italian city. Golden details brightened the spaces, bringing to mind the warm daytime sun; the blue of the furnishings gave a sense of seductive mystery to the night atmosphere.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana created a collection full of contrasts, designed for the golden nights with a touch of tailoring, Sicily, and

Italianness. Long evening gowns were presented in pink peony, orange, yellow and blue chiffon with feathers details, amethysts, emeralds, aquamarines, gold and silver crystals adornment, floral embroidery, and arabesque ornamental motifs. There were also crowns and hats that transformed the Dolce&gabbana women into strong and passionate queens. The collection includes masculine tuxedos, and looks that evoke a sporty and contemporary attitude.

The design of the boutique itself deserves mentioning; it is characterized by an imposing black marble Sahara façade that reveals a splendid sheen when the gilded interior panels are illuminated at the setting of the sun. The boutique occupies three floors and is designed by architect Marco Costanzi of MCA Studio, who has interpreted the spirit of Dolce&gabbana in a unique way, infusing it with the dream-like atmosphere and warm colours of the Middle East.
