-

Mercedes-benz unveiled the third generation of the new CLS at the Singapore Wine Vault. Showcasing the brand’s trendsetting model, the new CLS was unveiled with a lighting and music extravaganza accentuating its sensual yet dynamic design.

Displayed in exquisite fashion, the Mercedes-benz CLS dazzled the crowd with its self-assured sportiness and exemplary style. Looking beneath its elegant exterior, the new CLS arrives as an all-new five seater coupé, coupled with the new EQ Boost function, ENERGIZING comfort control, as well as, a new range of engines, the 2.0-litre CLS 350 and 3.0-litre CLS 450 4MATIC.

Guests, including loyal customers, business associates and media friends got up-close and personal with the new model at one of Singapore’s most exclusive locations, while a musical performance by the renowned singer Dawn Ho added to the electric atmosphere.

The sleek and sporty CLS is a desirable addition that offers impressive comfort coupled with thrilling, unrivalled technology.

In 2003, the Mercedes-benz CLS created a new vehicle segment that for the first time, combined the elegance and dynamism of a coupé with the comfort and functionality of a saloon. With the third generation of the CLS,

it builds more strongly than ever on the aura and unique character of this trendsetting model, recognisable by its clear contours and reduced lines. The CLS’ overall design reflects the timeless aura made famous by the first CLS, which founded a new segment and quickly became a design icon. Like its predecessors, the new CLS exudes self-assured sportiness in exemplary style: a highly emotive vehicle offering impressive comfort coupled with thrilling, unrivalled technology.

"The new CLS is a design icon as the archetype of the four-door coupé. In line with our design philosophy of sensual purity, we have reduced its DNA in an extremely puristic way and at the same time emotionally charged it with elegant beauty", says Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG.

Worth a mention is the optional ENERGIZING comfort control which systematically uses the functions of the climate control system (including fragrancing) and the seats (heater, ventilation, massage), the surface and steering wheel heating as well as lighting and musical atmospheres, and allows a specific wellness set-up according to customer needs. This positively effects wellbeing and driver performance. There are six selectable programmes: Freshness, Warmth, Vitality, Joy, and Comfort.

Additionaly, time deprived fitness enthusiasts can engage any of the three training modes - muscle relaxation, muscle activation and balance – each of which include several exercises.
