IWC'S First Concept Boutique In The Philippines
Downtown Makati Bears Witness To IWC’S Latest Global Design
IWC Schaffhasusen, together with its long-standing retail partner Lucerne, celebrated the re-opening of its flagship boutique at the Greenbelt 5 luxury shopping mall in Makati City with a cocktail party attended by over 50 VIP guests. Located in the central business and financial district of Manila, the new boutique is the first in the Philippines to implement the Swiss watch manufacture’s latest global boutique design concept.
“In the last 10 years, the IWC flagship boutique at Greenbelt 5 has transformed into a slice of Schaffhausen where many, including our most-valued clients, horology enthusiasts and new admirers, traced the adventurous footsteps of the company’s founder F.A. Jones amid a cosy and welcoming atmosphere,” says Mr. Stanislas Rambaud, Managing Director of IWC South East Asia. “The debut of our latest global boutique design concept here, in the Philippines, underscores our promise of a comfortable and immersive
luxury retail experience that is 100 per cent focussed on the customer,” he adds.
More than 50 VIP guests, comprising the brand’s most- valued clients, members of the local press, and friend of IWC South East Asia, Erwan Heussaff, were invited to discover the storied worlds of IWC within the 37 squaremetre boutique, which is the first in the Philippines and the second in South East Asia after Bangkok, to implement the company’s latest global boutique design concept.
Dreamt up by IWC’S expert team of in-house architects, the boutique design captures the timeless appeal of IWC in its elegant facade, which is impressively carved from a soft-beige limestone slab measuring over three metres in height. Behind its glass doors, a stylish mix of natural stone, dark Macassar wood, glass and mirror finishes makes for a stunning backdrop showcasing the haute horlogerie from IWC’S six distinct watch families.
Inside glass counters, and on crafted feature walls which recall the sleek bookshelves of a modern-day library, visitors will discover IWC’S highly iconic Pilot’s Watches, which bring the dream of flying to life; the Portugieser and its showstopping complications; the elegant Portofino, which captures the glamour of the Italian fishing village; the Aquatimer, which is just as functional on land as it is in the depths of our oceans; the sporty, racing-inspired Ingenieur; and the Da Vinci, an homage to the inventive spirt of IWC’S Master Watchmakers such as Kurt Klaus.
The timely revamp of the boutique at Greenbelt 5 further strengthens IWC’S longstanding 23-year partnership with Manilabased luxury retailer Lucerne. Earlier in July, IWC and Lucerne came together to mark the Swiss watch manufacture’s 150th anniversary and the launch of its limitededition Jubilee collection in the Philippines.
