2017

The lowest score any player has ever shot over four rounds on the PGA Tour is the scarcely believable 253 (-27) posted by Justin Thomas at the 2017 Sony Open in Hawaii. Thomas opened with a 59 and followed with rounds of 64, 65, and 65 on the Par 70 Waialae CC course just outside Honolulu. At the 2003 Valero Texas Open, Tommy Armour III shot rounds of 64, 62, 63, and 65 to finish on 254 – 26-under-par on the Par 70 La Cantera GC.

2003

The lowest winning total in relation to par was the 31-under Ernie Els posted to win the 2003 Mercedes Championship on the Hawaiian island of Maui, his rounds of 64, 65, 65 and 67 easing him to victory by eight strokes. Steve Stricker shot 33-under for the first four rounds of the five-round Bob Hope Classic in Palm Springs in 2009, following up impressive opening rounds of 65 and 67 with a 61 and a 62, then exploded with a 77 in the final round.
