HOW SHOT SCOPE WORKS
Shot Scope was launched three years ago. The original version focused solely on shot tracking, but the latest V2, launched this year, adds regular GPS distance measuring, with 35,000 courses mapped by Shot Scope’s own team of 200 elite players. Ditching the need to fiddle with smartphones, the system simply asks you to screw a series of lightweight tags into the butt of each club. Chips inside each send data to a wrist-worn device, which reads every detail of how the club was used and moved… right down to the vibrations of impact. The result of the shot is known through a GPS reading of where the next shot is played from. Ultimately, all activity is overlaid on a map of the course to gain a clear picture of the golfer’s movement, where their game fired and where it spluttered. After the round, individuals can access this information either through a smartphone app or online dashboard. www.shotscope.com
