The Métiers d'art collection continues The Legend Of The Chinese Zodiac with the year of the pig. Inspired by the Chinese paper-cutting technique known as Jianzhi, the dial's foliage motif is etched directly in the metal, semi-embedded in its gold base creating an effect of depth, and appearing to be floating over the dial. The Grand Feu enamelling, applied in successive layers, enhances the intensity of the dial. The pig, of platinum or pink gold, is hand engraved and delicately applied to the dial centre. Ideal for artistic expression, Calibre 2460 G4 gives the central dial motif a starring role. The hands-free time display is achieved through four apertures. These indications, the first two of the dragging variety and the last two of the jumping type, proudly embody the longstanding savoir-faire of the Maison in designing and developing original displays.
