TIGER WOODS DEBUTING NEW CLUBS AT TORREY PINES
At the Farmers Insurance Open, his first event of 2019, Woods shared a photo of his new work tools, which included Taylormade's M5 driver and 3 wood.
The new M5 driver's COR is initially illegal, then dialled back down within the conforming limits by injecting a precise amount of resin through two visible ports on the face.
Also in the bag is the M5 fairway 3-wood with a titanium body and face, and Twistface technology for the first time.
What's interesting is his switch to a new set of irons from last season's Tw-phase 1 Taylormade prototypes, using instead another version of muscle back blades labelled P-7TW; looking like the P730 irons at first glance, but ground to Tiger's exacting specifications. What Woods has carried over from last year are the same Taylomade M3 5-wood and Taylormade Milled Grind Wedges.
