Alpina Watches And Red Bull Air Race Contender Renew Partnership

-

Alpina is pleased to announce its partnership renewal with Michael Goulian, one of the world's most talented aerial demonstration pilot, to emphasize the brand's passion for sport inspired watches in the air category.

Michael is an experienced and determined contender for the Red Bull Air Race World Championship; and since his first race in 2004, the American has accumulated career highlights including memorable wins at the iconic stops of Budapest, Hungary (2009), Abu Dhabi, UAE (2018), and Indianapolis (2018).

Alpine's collaboration with Michael Goulian started in the 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Championship events around the world, as Official Team Partner and in various activations at the

most distinguished air shows in the United States.

After last year's win at the Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race where more than 50,000 spectators watched on Abu Dhabi's Corniche Michael's impressive 53.695 second time through the track during the Final 4, ultimately pushing him at the top of the podium, Alpina is wishing all the best for Michael's 11th season flying in the series!

Once again the scene was set for the action-packed season opener for a brand- new World Championship. The Red Bull Air Race kicked off in style, offering fans the perfect racing destination with plenty to see, do and experience away from the racetrack.

The race took place over the Arabian Gulf's stunning blue waters and fans were able to witness all the action from the purpose-built race village on the Corniche breakwater. With unrivalled views of the race and the UAE capital's impressive skyline, the arena turned out to be an entertainment focal point for all the family.

Created in 2003, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship has held more than 80 races around the globe. The Red Bull Air Race World Championship features the world's best race pilots in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill.

Using the fastest, most agile, lightweight racing planes, pilots hit speeds of 370kmh while enduring forces of up to 10G as they navigate a low-level slalom track marked by 25-meter-high, air-filled pylons. In 2014, the Challenger Cup was conceived to help the next generation of pilots develop the skills needed for potential advancement to the Master Class that vies for the World Championship.
