THE LEGEND OF PHIL CONTINUES

A round at San Diego’s Maderas Golf Club was cut short by a hole when one Victor Alfredo Lopez came across the filming of a commercial starring no less than Phil Mickelson. From Lopez’s photo, it appears the commercial in question is for Amstel, which has produced a number of relatively-memorable spots with Mickelson. While no details emerged as what could have been an interesting conversation knowing Phil’s penchant for a good wise crack, Lopez and friends were compensated with a crisp hundred dollar bill for their troubles. All smiles on on the Instagram post, Lopez captioned “Hey @philmickelson thanks for the $100 bucks even though you made us skip hole #7 for your commercial.” Amstel noticed and it seems like the golfers might be in for a happy hour bonus as well.
