New Faces From The Depths Of The Earth And Space

-

Exclusive dials with refined unique designs bring new faces to Rolex dials that shine with spirit, vitality and are imbued with unique, ancient energy. One comes from materials created deep within the Earth. The other has travelled from the outer reaches of our solar system. This energy gives soul and personality to Rolex dials, honed by the experience and knowledge of the brand’s artisans.

Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona

More than 50 years after its creation, the Cosmograph Daytona is an icon in a class of its own among sport chronographs.

Three exclusive versions of the Cosmograph Daytona, the benchmark for those with a passion for driving and speed, all feature a dial made from metallic meteorite with black chronograph counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. With unique, distinctive crystallisation within the material that is impossible to recreate on Earth, metallic meteorite is rare and challenging to work with, but once cut into thin sections and chemically treated, the great beauty of its interwoven internal structure is revealed. For its dials, Rolex selects only sections of meteorite with a particularly wellformed surface rich in different shapes and reflections. The version in 18 ct white gold

is fitted with a monobloc Cerachrom bezel in black ceramic. The other two watches, one in 18 ct yellow gold and the other in 18 ct Everose gold, have a metal bezel on an Oyster bracelet. The Cosmograph Daytona’s iconic tachymetric scale is moulded into the first watch’s Cerachrom bezel and engraved on the metal bezels of the other two versions. The new versions of the Cosmograph Daytona are equipped with calibre 4130, and like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, which ensures excellent performance on the wrist.

Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36

Rolex’s Datejust is classic and instantly recognisable. Launched in 1945, it was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date in a window at 3 o’clock on the dial. Four new versions of its Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 feature new ‘palm’ and ‘fluted’ dial motifs. Seen on three of the new watches, the palm motif evokes lush, vibrant tropical forests, while the fluted motif showcases the pattern found on a range of Rolex bezels. Olive green, silver or golden, materials such as copper, zinc, nickel, chromium, titanium and silicon, combine with cutting-edge technology to create deep, vibrant metallic colours. In Oystersteel, the pattern is present on an olive green dial. It also decorates the golden dial of the second watch, a yellow Rolesor version, and the silver dial of the third watch, an Everose Rolesor version on a Jubilee bracelet. The fluted motif is found on the golden dial of the final watch, also in yellow Rolesor and with a Jubilee bracelet. The new versions of the Datejust 36 are equipped with calibre 3235, and like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, which ensures excellent performance on the wrist.
