VERDICT If there’s one thing our Top Gear data has highlighted across the board this year, it’s how Honma know a thing or two about getting lightweight, draw enhancing clubs to flat-out perform. From driver to iron and everything in between, the T//world GS (Gain Speed) has been outstanding. Our test pro’s data has it among our two longest (254 yards) fairways of the year, while also placing top for protecting carry distance (first; 5.1%). And to prove those results aren’t a fluke, the GS hybrid was the same. If you own a moderate swing speed or find fairways difficult to launch from the turf, the GS is an absolutely brilliant option, without an offset head or a very closed-face angle. This Honma fairway does everything from a really neutral, desirable and attractive head shape, which isn’t often the case with true game improving models.
