A Tourbillon Showcase

Two Exceptional Expressions Of The Aural And Visual

BULGARI Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon

Raising the level of sensorial expression, this timepiece features a three-hammer chime combined with a tourbillon regulator in an artful Italian interpretation of Swiss watchmaking expertise. The manuallywound in-house Caliber BVL428 is 8.35mm thick, and comprises a total of 432 components. Generous case proportions maximise sound propagation while chimes are fixed directly on to the titanium casebody to ensure the clearest possible diffusion of sound; the back is also hollowed with a meticulously crafted titanium grid to protect the resonance zone. The melodic sequence of this Carillon with three hammers plays the note C for the hours, the mid-re-c notes in sequence for the quarters, and the mid note for the minutes.the one classical barrel movement has a power reserve of 75 hours, its architecture revealing the mechanism’s beauty - the hammers, gongs, tourbillon cage and perforated surfaces are crafted in polished steels, while the mainplate and bridge are treated with PVD in deep black. This construction is protected by a 44mm titanium case fitted with the carillon activation pushbutton on its left. Ultra-limited to 15, each exemplar features a transparent sapphire crystal case-back, is water-resistant to 3 Atmospheres, and comes on a black alligator leather strap with a three-blade folding titanium clasp.

GIRARD-PERREGAUX Tourbillon With Three Flying Bridges Aston Martin

A celebration of the iconic 19th century Three Bridges pocket watch in a contemporary way, down to the smallest details; even the strap itself premieres in black calf leather featuring the Girardperregaux rubber alloy, an innovative rubber insert injected with white gold, its design intended to evoke thoughts of Aston Martin racing cars of the past. The 44mm case of grade 5 titanium selected by Aston Martin for its lightweight and hypoallergenic properties, is suffused with black DLC for a stealthy appearance. Three titanium bridges in black PVD span the dial, its iconic design affording breathtaking views of movements normally hidden from view. In the Aston Martin edition, the movement appears to levitate within the case. The tourbillon cage measuring just 10mm. is composed of 79 components and collectively weigh only 0.25 grams, mitigating energy consumption. The open worked barrel at 12 o’clock affords partial views of the mainspring, A white gold micro-rotor energises the mainspring and the Aston Martin name engraved on the vertical flank is filled with white luminescent treatment which appears blue in dim light, matching the indexes and hands. Limited to 18 pieces.
